We usually go out for dinner on Friday nights.  It’s a night to give me a break from the kitchen.  We decided to go to our usual place…Cafe Pulido’s in Arlington.  The owner, George Pulido, has become a very dear friend to our family’s.  The girls call him "George of the Jungle" and his girl friend, Petra…or as the girls call her, "Aunt Peetie" usually serves us if she’s not swamped already!

George has been ill for a few months.  Today he hurt his back while taking clothes out of the washer to put into the dryer.  He was wearing a lower back brace to keep it from hurting.  When we arrived, he was thrilled to see us.  He LOVES our girls…did I mention he LOVES our girls?  Jillian had crashed in the car…so she was asleep.  He loved on her still.

When we got settled in Aunt Peetie’s section, she woke up and when we told her George was there, she wanted to go see him.  So…Dave took her back to the kitchen. When they arrived back at the table, Dave said, "Jillian…you really made George feel better by giving him a hug."  With a VERY STERN look on her face, Jillian replied…"Dad, I’m NOT GOD!"

Glad she’s got the doctrine down!!
